This style of slotted corrugated box
is similar to the regular slotted box, except that the outer flaps
overlap a specified amount but not less than 1 inch. (See full overlap
slotted container- FOL.) The inner flaps do not meet.
This box is easily closed, usually
with staples driven through the overlap area. This style is used
when the relationship between length and width results in an excessively
long gap between the inner flaps, making it desirable to overlap
the outer flaps to prevent them from spreading apart.
