When assembled, this box has several thicknesses of fiberboard in each end. This provides considerable strength and makes the five-panel folder an excellent container for the shipment of articles such as cones, rods, shade rollers, light fixtures, umbrellas, etc.

The five-panel folder has a particular advantage when it is used for the packing of long articles of small diameter which might be readily damaged if forced through the ends of the container.

This style of box is illustrated both open and as closed with paper sealing tape.
